At the heart of Raphela Junior School is our Early Childhood Care Development section. The school has a friendly and stimulating atmosphere where children learn about themselves and the world around them.

CIRCLE TIME FOR ECD

Circle time is particularly always exciting as we start off with singing and dancing, which helps to get our little ones energized and ready for the day. We sing the national anthem and say a prayer, instilling in our children a sense of patriotism and spirituality.

Self-introduction and greeting activities follow. These help to develop social skills and promote a sense of belonging in both the school and the classroom environment. Our dear teachers then talk to the children about the theme of the week, reinforcing our school's values of respect, honesty, kindness, and excellence.

Through these activities, we do not only prepare our students for academic success but also for success in life. At Raphela Junior School, we strive to provide a well-rounded education that prepares our students to be responsible, compassionate, and productive members of society. We encourage all our parents to keep supporting their children's growth and development.

KINDERGARTEN GROUP PLAY

At Raphela Junior School, we understand the importance of play in a child's development. That's why we prioritize group play activities for our kindergarten students.

Our kindergarten students are given ample opportunities to engage in group play activities, which not only fosters socialization and teamwork but also helps develop their cognitive, emotional, and physical skills. Through group play, children learn important life skills such as communication, sharing, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.

Our experienced and dedicated teachers facilitate group play activities that are carefully designed to promote learning and growth. From building blocks to imaginative play, our kindergarteners are encouraged to explore their creativity and imagination, which helps them develop critical thinking and decision-making skills.

We believe in a holistic approach to education, and group play is an integral part of that approach. We understand that every child is unique and has different learning needs, and our group play activities are designed to cater to each child's individual learning style.

Your child is offered a range of exciting learning opportunities, stimulated through interaction in both the outdoor and indoor play-learning spaces. Interesting topics are explored by teachers to develop general knowledge and allow children to create links in their learning. Each child is challenged according to his or her abilities through activities specifically designed by our teachers to suit their own personal ability, learning style and developmental stage.

Early Childhood Care Development follows the ‘Letters and Sounds’ programme that will introduce your child to phonics through fun games and sound awareness activities, building a strong foundation in literacy.
