All of our children are offered a varied curriculum which will prepare them for life in the 21st Century!
The younger children follow the Early Childhood Care Development curriculum. The older children whilst borrowing best international practices follow the Ministry of Education and Sports Ugandan National Curriculum.
CIRCLE TIME FOR PRIMARY SECTION
At Raphela Junior School, we believe in nurturing not just the academic growth but also the spiritual and personal growth of our students. Our daily Circle Time is one of the ways we ensure that every student is given a platform to grow holistically.
For our primary section, during Circle Time, students from different streams represent their classes by introducing themselves, sharing a scripture from the Bible, and exchanging greetings. We believe that this exercise instills confidence in our students and encourages them to develop their public speaking skills.
To make the experience even more engaging, we have fellow students serving as judges. They verify if the shared scripture is correct. It's heartwarming to see our learners cheering on their peers, appreciating their effort, and building each other up. We believe that creating an environment of mutual support and encouragement is essential to the growth of our students.
Our teachers also use this time to discuss the theme of the week and encourage our students on their journey through life. Our values of love, respect, excellence, and integrity are deeply ingrained in everything we do, and Circle Time is no exception.
We are committed to creating a safe and nurturing environment that allows every student to flourish. We believe that Circle Time is just one of the many ways we are achieving this goal, and we are proud to see our students thriving both academically and personally.
PRIMARY ONE AND TWO - AEROBICS HELD ON TUESDAY MORNING
We prioritize the physical and mental wellbeing of our students. That is why every Tuesday morning, our primary one and two learners participate in an invigorating aerobics session led by our experienced and dedicated teachers.
Aerobics is a great way to start the day as it helps to increase blood flow, improve cardiovascular health, and enhance mood and energy levels. Our teachers lead the students through a series of fun and engaging exercises that promote physical fitness and coordination.
We believe that physical activity is an essential component of a well-rounded education, and our aerobics sessions are just one of the many ways we encourage our students to adopt healthy lifestyle habits.
At Raphela Junior School, we are committed to providing a holistic education that prioritizes the development of the whole child. Through our comprehensive curriculum, experienced teachers, and nurturing environment, we aim to prepare our students for success both inside and outside the classroom.

Our aim is to ensure that we provide an education which enables all children to succeed and be the best they possibly can be. We also prepare them for secondary school and the world of work.
We recognise children as unique individuals with specific talents and needs, and aim to provide rich and exciting experiences to promote an enduring love of learning and high levels of success for every child. We believe that children will learn most effectively when school and parents work together in partnership. We also believe that children should play a part, by taking responsibility for their own learning.
